IIDRE and ISFM, partners for the project “Rouen Normandy autonomous Lab”- autonomous vehicles

IIDRE and ISFM, actors respectively of geolocation with or without satellite coverage and mobility, are partners to support the experimental project of Rouen, within the framework of the launch of the first autonomous “Zoe” electric, in an urban environment, by ensuring a fluidity in the continuity of services for driving without a driver. # mobility, #autonomous vehicles, #innovation.

IIDRE and the french engineering school ENSEIRB-MATMECA

IIDRE assists students of the french enrgineering school, ENSEIRB-MATMECA on the project “WISER” (Wireless Interconnection for Secure Exchange on the Road for the self-driving car). This project consists in creating RoadSide Unit (RSU), to manage autonomous vehicles.

From design to tests, third-year students of ENSEIRB-MATMECA, from telecom sector, work on complete technology architecture “Vehicle To Infrastructure” – V2I.

IIDRE, accurate geolocation with UWB

Thanks to continuous efforts made since 2016, IIDRE is now able to offer an accurate geolocation by means of UWB technology (Ultra Wideband Decawave modules). The solution is based on geo referenced anchors and tags, which will be integrated to your products (machines, tools, vehicles, others…), according to your needs and whatever your industry.

Accurate geolocation: 

Our solution ensures an accurate localization which is about 10 cm in clear environment (LOS: Line-Of-Sight), while remaining lower than a meter in dense or industrial ones (NLOS: Non Line-Of-Sight).

Follow-up of fast moves: 

Besides a great accuracy, our system offers  calculated positions with high data rate (trilateration), guaranteeing you to follow-up fast moves (> 30 km/h).

Customization of our solution:

Furthermore, IIDRE allows to custom anchors and mobile tags, by integrating several types of sensors (gas, temperature, particle density, …) and even a GPS chip to guarantee an outdoor cover (switch indoor/outdoor).

It was again a pleasure to show indoor geoloc systems on the CNES stand at Futurapolis exhibition in Toulouse, with many discussions between professionals and scheduled conferences. We offer a part of the connection between the space and the indoor geolocation.

Stagiaires ENSEIRB MATMECA 2016

Summer 2016

This summer we integrated students in internship from ENSEIRB / MATMECA Bordeaux University.

Everyone worked on a specific topic:

 Imène – end of studies traineeship :

« Positioning has an essential role on everyday life. Nowadays, when the object to be tracked is

in an open environment, the GPS is considered as the most efficient. But, its application is
limited in indoor environment such as basements, hangars… The “Indoor” positioning system
of Iidre Company uses the ZigBee technology. It consists of wireless sensors network
composed by transmitters, receivers and a coordinator connected to a computer which
retrieves and processes the information. This device works using the power of the received
signal by the receiver so-called RSSI. Then, the distance between the transmitter and the
receiver is estimated in function of the RSSI. Finally, by using the trilateration principle the
estimated location is obtained.

However, interferences and multi-paths related to the environment affect seriously the system accuracy. The establishment of a particle filter, as well as, a discretization of the state space are techniques to improve the positioning result.”


ENSEIRB students’ training projets:

Guillaume :

« The purpose of my internship is to make geo-tracking (ou alors geolocation, je ne sais pas quel terme est le mieux) using LoRa technology. When a transmitter sends a message to a gateway (both equiped with a LoRa module), the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) is calculated and a distance can be estimated. The ultimate goal is to make a multi-emitter and multi-gateway system.”


Abdoul :

«The objective of my project is to design and develop an usable web User Interface (UI) to ensure the tracking in real time of equipments in a worksite”


Julien :

“I work on a efficient, citizen and connected air quality station using USB, WIFI and LoRa technologies.”
